WHAT WE DO

RESEARCH:

The role of women in society and by extension in music and subcultures, has undergone significant changes in the last decades.

In this context, understanding where we come from and the paths that led us here is essential. Such knowledgement not only provides historical perspective but also empowers us to envision and contribute to a more equitable and transformative future.

Our projects are based on research, which allows us to move forward with coherence and purpose, ensuring that wvey step we take contributes meaninfully to understanding and transforming our environment.

CULTURAL PRODUCTION:

Women-Led projects play a crucial role in shaping contemporary culture. Across music, literature, film or visual arts, they introduce new perspectives, challenge traditional roles and amplify voices that have long been marginalized.

Lady Beat Fest, We got the Beat parties, exhibitions of female artist related with music, Herstory section and LB Radio Show are some of the projects ruuning and some others on the way.

By supporting and developing these project, we aim to foster inclusion, innovation, and social awareness, creating spaces where diverse talent can thrive.

Lady Beat projects are not only about celebrating women in music but also contibuting to a meaningful cultural change,

COMMUNITY AND PROMOTION:

We build a supportive community for women in music creating safe spaces, connecting and promoting female artist and. Building transnational networks and collaborative cultural initiatives make us grow and have fun.

Additionally, we provide consultancy and programming for curators, researchers, agencies, promoters, festivals and institutions, helping them integrate gender-focused strategies into their work to build a more equitable creative landscape.

WHY DO WE DO THIS

Lady Beat was founded in 2024 by DJ Mona Di. After decades in the independent music scene and subcultures, she got surprised that in the 21st century, festival and concert lineups still feature a complete absence of women. We are all too aware of the difficulties women face in pop culture and subculture, where their role is not exactly active or prominent, as well as the lack of role models they encounter. Motivated by these challenges, she created Lady Beat, a cultural project that serves as a platform to bring together women and give visibility to the women that culture has rendered invisible over the years.
