Hello everyone! I am Claire RetroGirl. I was born in Malaga but I have been living in Barcelona for the past 9 years. I began collecting records since I was a Teenager, I have always had a strong passion for music and I really enjoy sharing my collection from behind the decks. I can’t wait to dance with you all at Lady Beat Fest, we will have a blast!!

It’s a real treat to have been invited to play a few tracks at the Lady Beat Fest. I’m from Madrid, although I consider myself a citizen of the world. I’ve always been passionate about Black music, and that’s exactly what you’ll find in my sets. When I returned to Madrid, I co-founded the all-female DJ club “Here Come The Girls” with Irma la Douce. I’ve played at quite a few events and festivals, such as Mojo Workin’ (San Sebastián), Jazzaldia (San Sebastián), Long John Baldry (Southampton, UK), Ready Steady Go (Baiona, France), Beltza Weekend (Pamplona), Ebroclub (Miranda de Ebro), and in clubs and bars in León (Rock & Roll Circus and Gran Café), Barcelona (Marula Café, A Wamba Buluba Club), San Sebastián (Eiger, A Fuego Negro), Vitoria (Hell Dorado), and Madrid (La Huelga de Lavapiés, 4 Latas, Mongo Scifi, Fun House, etc.). In my sets, I travel through the sounds of the 70s and 80s, mixing new wave, power pop, and punk, without forgetting those infallible classics we’ve all danced to

I’m PaulAnka, aka Ania. I’m from Poland and I’ve been living in Madrid for 14 years. I started DJing in bars in Gdańsk, and now my sets can be heard in Lavapiés and Malasaña, in places like Olivia, Huelga, Madre Flaca, Horacio, and Fun House. I mainly play music from the 80s (and sounds influenced by that era), the music I grew up with and that still connects me to my country: punk ’77, post-punk, new wave, Italo disco, and electro. I like guitars, but only if they get the dance floor moving. That’s why 60s and 90s garage rock also find their way into my sets. My collection is dominated by bands with women fronting them—bands with a special, somewhat defiant sensibility that don’t quite fit in, and that’s precisely why I find them so wonderful. Sometimes I even play a gem from Poland.

*** Susana Cheries ***

Susana Cheries navigates the boundaries of rock & roll, punk, power pop, and post-punk. Since her teens, she has explored sharp guitars, gritty melodies, and urgent rhythms.

She has made the night her own at venues like La Vía Láctea, El Sol, Wurlitzer, and Fun House. She was the owner of Weirdo Bar, a secret haven of Madrid’s underground scene.

Her music has graced the stages of Azkena Rock, FIB, Low, and Rock Nights Ibiza, as well as the after-shows of legends like Richard Lloyd (Television). Anthems, rarities, forgotten treasures: each set is a knowing wink to the underground.

Hello! I´m Mona Di, DJ, bass player and founder of the “Lady Beat”, other clubs as “We Got The Beat” and “Trash a GoGo Club” and “Stay Chick” which was bringing the best bands international bands to the country since 2004.

I will be spinning 60´s beat & R´n´B girl bands and female voices on Friday and a mix of beat and garage to 70s punk on Saturday. Don´t miss the pack!
